Early Warning Signs

  • No babbling by 12 months
  • Sustained odd play (spinning objects, lining up toys, inappropriate attachment to objects)
  • Echolalia (repeating words and phrases)
  • A lack of showing/using gestures
  • Any loss of language at any time
