Legislative Day

10th ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE DAY is set March 7th – Sign up to attend this FREE event.

10 am – 3pm. Lunch will be provided on the side steps.

On Autism Legislative Day self-advocates, family members, and professionals visit their legislators to express the overwhelming need for support and services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in Alabama.

If you plan on attending, make a short appointment with your legislator and hand-deliver a written letter.  If you cannot attend, mail your letter, send an email, or make a phone call.  Bring or send a picture of your loved one.  Whether you are able to join us on March 7th or not (we really hope you will!), take the time to contact your legislators to ask for their support of individuals with ASD.

Your story MATTERS.  Autism MATTERS.

Find my legislators By clicking this link, you will be directed to the Alabama State Senate homepage where you can search your county or district for current legislators. We encourage you to reach out to them to become familiar with each person and to let them know what issues you may want them to vote on in the future.
