Glenwood's Community Resource Center (CRC) psychological evaluation services aim to identify the specific strengths and needs of each individual, as well as answer specific questions posed by the referral source. CRC strives to fully describe the potential of each person and the specific interventions that may be needed to maximize their ability to function in daily life. CRC's psychological evaluations are provided by Licensed Psychologists. Referral sources vary and include physicians, families, service agencies, schools, the Department of Human Resources, and family/juvenile court. Referrals are statewide.

Glenwood specializes in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Thus, it is a common diagnostic referral question for the psychological evaluations. The individuals that participate in a psychological evaluation are children and adolescents ranging in age from 2 to 21. A psychological evaluation typically includes parent interviews, child interviews, multiple rating scales (from home and school settings as necessary), and administration of specific tests to answer the referral questions. As part of the evaluation process, an extensive report is later provided to the referral party which includes impression and recommendations. Glenwood provides psychological evaluations throughout the state. Glenwood has a staff in the Huntsville and Mobile areas to help provide services in 53 of Alabama’s 67 counties.
