Autism Society of Alabama Announces Junior Board Officers

The Autism Society of Alabama (ASA) is pleased to announce the election of six new officers on the Junior Board.  These members have been elected to serve a one-year term.

Kassady Gibson has been elected President of the Junior Board.  She is a Senior Risk Analyst for Southern Company and has served on the Junior Board for almost two years. 

Andrea Newell has been elected Vice President.  She works for Murfee Meadows as a Benefits Manager. 

Emily Roberts is the recently elected Secretary and Treasurer.  Ms. Roberts is a Sales Support Assistant for Grandbridge Real Estate Capital.

Lea Burnett has been elected Membership Chair.  She works with Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Health Center of Alabama as a Speech Language Pathologist. 

Stephen Frey is the Public Relations Chair.  He is a Legislative Director for Shelby County Legislation Delegation.

Niki Harris is the newly elected Event Chair.  Ms. Harris is a Senior Accountant at Southern Company.

The Autism Society of Alabama Junior Board strives to bring community awareness to the issues faced by individuals with autism spectrum disorders, to assist with fundraising efforts, and to develop future leaders for ASA.  The Autism Society of Alabama is the state’s leading source for information on autism and assists families in navigating the service delivery system.

ASA’s mission is “To improve services for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families through education and advocacy.”
