Autism Society of Alabama Announces Mobile Board Member

The Autism Society of Alabama (ASA) is pleased to announce the election of a Mobile native to the Board of Directors.  Hanes Swingle, M.D., has been elected to serve a two-year term

Dr. Swingle is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama.  He is the Clinic Director of the Autism Diagnostic Clinic, which he founded at the University of South Alabama in 2007.  The Autism Diagnostic Clinic is in USA’s Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics department.  Dr. Swingle is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

The Autism Society of Alabama’s mission is “To improve services for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families through education and advocacy.”  ASA provides families in Alabama with networking groups, conferences and seminars, family camps, awareness, and information. 

ASA’s satellite Mobile office is located at 205 Lambert Avenue Ste C, Mobile, Alabama 36604.  Jennifer Robertson, of Bay Minette, is the Fundraising Manager.
