You need JavaScript enabled to view it June 2011 Autism Society of Alabama Announces Argo Board Member The Autism Society of Alabama (ASA) is pleased to announce the election of an Argo resident to the Board of Directors. The Board serves as the governing body of the Autism Society and sets the vision for the organization’s future. Christy Chambers has been elected to serve two consecutive two-year terms. Christy Chambers is the Marketing Coordinator and Legal Assistant for Kendall Maddox & Associates, LLC in Birmingham. She hopes to provide further autism support to the Argo community. Christy is the parent of a four year-old son with autism. The Autism Society of Alabama’s mission is “to improve services for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families through education and advocacy.” ASA provides families in Alabama with networking groups, conferences and seminars, family camps, awareness, and information.
