If you are a parent of a child with
behavioral or mental health problems, do you struggle to get your child’s school to understand and work with your child’s needs? Join children’s mental health experts, education advocates, and parents for a series of free teleconferences. These calls will expore how children with behavioral needs can succeed in school. They will help you work better with your child’s school.

Tuesday, November 18th at Noon

How can you advocate effectively for your child’s needs? Learn about parent advocacy resources in Alabama and strategy ideas with ADAP, Alabama Family Ties, and the Alabama Parent Education Center.

Tuesday, December 16th at Noon

School services that help! Knute Rotto will talk about his work as the director of a community mental health center that has teamed with the Indianapolis Public Schools to provide help to students who need intensive support services. A family member from the program will also be on the call.

Tuesday, January 13th at Noon

Working Together for Change: How Families Can Reshape Schools for their Children. Toni Issadore, Director of Training and Family Education, Family Involvement Center, Phoenix, AZ.
