VRS, the largest division with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services, helps Alabamians with disabilities achieve independence through employment. VRS providess specialized employment and education-related services and training to assist teens and adults with disabilities in becoming employed. In addition, VRS works with middle schools, high schools, junior colleges and universities statewide to assist students with disabilities in receiving appropriate educational opportunities.
